Greetings
Hail to you, Skyrim traveler, mod user, organizer of a logical load order that is Never Finished but Maybe Soon. I’m Vex – specifically I’ve used “Vexonar” or “Vexon” as a name but the Bethesda website had both names taken so I ended up as Vexona. Which is fine, it’s just a name to organize the mods I’m updating, creating and maintaining.
My background is animal rescue and bad 70’s movies. I started working for the ASPCA about 8 years ago where I met another feline fanatic – the same person who brought you all Cats in Skyrim. I’m now the caretaker of her cats along with 5 others. I recently had to say good-bye to a beloved senior, Her Majesty Miss Fancy Pants, and now I’ll have room to take on another senior cat.
What you’re probably here for is some tea and I’m sorry to tell you I don’t have any tea. I’m actually a *very* mundane person. My phone isn’t very smart, my TV has a weird line across the top of it and should be replaced, I don’t even have cable and sometimes I grab Netflix to watch on my second monitor. Listen – I still have a VHS/DVD player. I have a large collection of movies no one cares about. I’m not a digital sort of person because I prefer my world to be tactile. But… I do love video games. Being able to sit in fantasy and leave the real world behind is a treat. On the weekends I enjoy hiking and sitting at the duck pond or painting (very poorly). I like Bob Ross and Murder, She Wrote. I’m old. So old my bones creak when I smile. But that’s okay; I’ve lived a great life.
My goal with creating mods is creating experiences. I have a backlog of bug fixes in other mods to get to, so sometimes I’m a bit slow on publishing new content. Sometimes I forget I have a website. And I’m not on social media so I sometimes forget people only want to read 5 words to tell them “Download this or die.” I’m not good with click bait or sound bites. I don’t know what words are captivating or user friendly. What I can do is give you a rational understanding of what I created and why and what to expect.
I hope you’ll drop into Discord. You can pick the Skyrim role and engage in the Skyrim category which is where I hang out. I’ve recently cleaned up the forums so it’s pretty easy to navigate and search for what you need. Oh, and I’ve updated this website, too.
