Divine Cities: Villages

Published: Category:Designer Mods , Divine Cities , Divine SeriesWritten by: Vexonar

Divine Villages

This module was designed to create new places to be discovered as a player traverses Skyrim. Every new area is hand crafted to blend in with Skyrim while retaining a unique identity to the location. Followers have unique backgrounds and stories, villagers have their own personalities and desires for life, quests are filled with interesting interactions with Skyrim, and you, the player, are the driving force behind it all.

Features

There are 15 new locations to discover with DC: Villages along with the added “Request Boards” which offer rewards from townsfolk across the Holds to help them in their daily lives. Besides the 15 new locations there are dozens of new followers, animal companions, quests, unique armour, jewelry and weapons to explore and obtain.

Request Boards

Request Boards are set up in each hold to give you new objectives to fulfill. If you do not want to complete a request, you can disown it after reading the letter. Simply push the Request Board activator when you want the quests, then “search” the board after. (note: the engine takes a moment to update when we fill a container, so even if the board reads ’empty’ after activating, you will still find the letters) Each hold is unique- you will not have to fill Whiterun Hold Requests in the Pale

On the Shores of Lake Illinalta

Nithi has seen its share of joys and trials over the years. While it might seem like a typical fishing village to outsiders, on the inside it features the brave men and women who have staunchly defended their village from rampaging bandits, fearsome werewolves and has mostly managed to stay out of the Civil War. Being so self sufficent, they offer a wide variety of shops and services, including trainers for those seeking to improve their knowledge. Recently there’s been trouble at the temple and they’ve not had the heart to seek out its mystery. Could you be that person?

On the Banks of White River

This charming village was founded by the mysterious “Etienne” who left his Workshop behind when he wandered off to do… things. You’ll find a pleasant group of villagers who hunt, play, pray, sleep, laugh and bustle about. You’ll want to seek out the local general goods merchant for information about how to purchase the Honey Drum Loft

All of the customisable options can be set up in the ‘Etienne’s Workshop’ building, over the river from the Honey Drum Inn. Just select which options you would like using Etienne’s machines and a message will be sent to the reclusive Etienne who will instantly and mysteriously carry out your wishes.

If a button or lever has ‘Option’ in its name then only ONE choice may be selected, and is not changeable after selection. If you wish to ‘try before you buy’ then I would recommend making a save before you select any custom options, and have a good look around after making your choices to be sure you are happy with them.

You can, of course, have different options in each of your games if you play with multiple characters.
