I’m keeping a modding journal, partly for myself, partly in case I ever publish it.
I want to see where my mind goes—and how I grow as a mod author and storyteller.
Because that’s what I truly want: create stories.
I enjoy being fiercely creative – but not in an abstract way. I want to craft things you can use, play, live in, wander through… things that have purpose. I believe there’s a lot of purposelessness out there, and even in Skyrim, I want to do something deeper.
What does it mean to be Dragonborn? Or, for that matter, Earthborn?
I’m not great with idle thoughts… except when they let me dream. A while back someone told me I was “meticulous to the point of devotion.” Because I need names that carry meaning. Because I like tracing obscure connections. Maybe creativity is my goddess.
Art is the elimination of the unnecessary
Right now I’m staring at a mod catalogue that’s been neglected. Some of these need real love because somewhere along the way, the original creator left the passion behind. Will I rise to it? I’ll find out.
The most important thing is this: the whimsy stays.
Once I finish the fine-tuning, then I’ll start whatever I create for me.
So… where did I leave my load order?
